Zixuan Wang

Zixuan Wang was born in Wuhan, China and immigrated to the United States at the age of 7. She grew up in the small, quaint town of Flagstaff, Arizona where she pursued becoming a professional Broadway singer. After high school, she attended Arizona State University where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Material Science Engineering and Statistics. Zixuan decided to attend the University of Michigan to pursue her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with a focus in the field of energy and catalysis. She is a recipient of the 2017 National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship.
