Process control, and in particular Advanced Process Control, has proven its value in numerous applications around the world. The value is realized in terms of improved economics, safer operation and more productive operating staff. Unfortunately, many organizations struggle with justifying and implementing new applications and/or sustaining the benefits. These challenges have been compounded with the retirement of knowledgeable staff and the turnover of management teams, who may not fully recognize the benefits The panel is comprised of experienced control engineers who are in positions of leadership with international operating companies. They will discuss the value of process control and what must be done to achieve and sustain it, including how to get the backing of the organization. Attracting engineers to a company's control group is among the topics that will be discussed. Panelists: ExxonMobil: - Donald Bartusiak Gregory K. McMillan, Solutia/Monsanto (retired) Sebastian Osta, Total, Port Arthur Ray Coker, Marathon Petroleum Brian Ashcraft, Dow
