Raymond Coker provided advanced control solutions for multiple sites. Ray has 30 years of experience in process or process control for petrochemicals, chemicals, polymers and refining units. He completed his first DMC application in 1985 and his last DMCplus 7.2 application in 2012. Ray led multivariable predictive control (DMC and DMCplus) projects on the following units: PX, PTA, ethylene, propylene, aromatics extraction, long chain alcohol, butadiene, crude, vacuum, multiple types of cokers, fluid catalyst crackers, heavy oil cracker, gas plants, naphtha, jet and diesel desulphurization units, hydro crackers, and reformers. In addition, he has led large groups and large programs involving multiple sites and multiple technologies. Ray works for BP Texas City Refinery as Advanced Control Team Leader. He earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a professional engineer (Texas) and a project management professional (PMI).
