Gaseous Hydrogen: Safety Considerations

Registering for CHS webinars grants free access to the live sessions only. On-demand webinars can be purchased 3-4 days after the live session. Employees of CHS member companies can purchase archived webinars at no cost, while others will be charged.

Gaseous hydrogen is the lightest and most abundant element in the universe, and it is commonly used as a fuel in various industrial processes. However, due to its chemical properties, gaseous hydrogen can pose several hazards, including flammability, reactivity, asphyxiation, and pressure.

Join us and explore the safe transport and delivery of gaseous hydrogen, and more, while gaining safety and design strategies you can immediately apply.

In addition, access to members of the Hydrogen Safety Panel will provide you the opportunity to pose questions you have related to gaseous hydrogen, and any other thoughts or concerns about hydrogen as a safe and sustainable energy carrier.

After participating in this webinar, you will:

•    Understand and apply basic safety considerations for gaseous hydrogen.

•    Address design considerations for gaseous hydrogen.

•    Have a better understanding of how to manage the unique properties and hazards of gaseous hydrogen.

•    Understand the equipment and components in a gaseous hydrogen system.
