David is a Latino in the sciences from Barranquilla, Colombia, and is currently a Provost Early Career Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin in the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering working in the lab of Dr. Adrianne Rosales (March 2021). Becky joined Rhapsody Venture Partners as an Associate in May 2021, where she spends most of her time sourcing and diligencing startups. Rhapsody is a Boston-based venture capital firm that invests in early-stage, "hard tech" startups that address industrial problems — new materials, sensors, engineering and process innovations, etc.

Before working at AIChE, Mahir worked in the fragrance industry, experimenting on the compatibility between different bases and oils for personal care products and determining the viability of the final product in market. After this, he pursued his Masters and interned at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers with the programming team, supporting them with conferences.
