Updated/Proposed Division bylaws for rebranding the Division as the Process Safety Division

David Castilla Casadiego

David is a Latino in the sciences from Barranquilla, Colombia, and is currently a Provost Early Career Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin in the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering working in the lab of Dr. Adrianne Rosales (March 2021). Prior to this position, he earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, working with Dr. Jorge Almodóvar in May 2021, and a master’s degree from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez working with Dr. Jorge Almodóvar in June 2016. Scott Gale

As Executive Director at Halliburton Labs, Scott oversees External Engagement and collaborates to build a thriving clean energy community on the Third Coast and around the world. He actively supports multiple startup organizations as a mentor, advisor, and investor. After five years in chemical sales and product management, he joined Halliburton in 2014 where he managed multiple strategic efforts taking new technologies from ideation to commercial success at scale.

Becky Wilson

Becky joined Rhapsody Venture Partners as an Associate in May 2021, where she spends most of her time sourcing and diligencing startups. Rhapsody is a Boston-based venture capital firm that invests in early-stage, "hard tech" startups that address industrial problems — new materials, sensors, engineering and process innovations, etc.

Mahir Alam

Before working at AIChE, Mahir worked in the fragrance industry, experimenting on the compatibility between different bases and oils for personal care products and determining the viability of the final product in market. After this, he pursued his Masters and interned at the American Institute of Chemical Engineers with the programming team, supporting them with conferences.
