ChEnected launched in February of 2010. Our first contributor post, Should You Go Broad or Deep, was on February 26, 2010. Since then the site has grown into a community of more than 40 authors and contributors and more than 6,000 unique monthly visitors. As we begin a promising 2011, we'd like to take a moment to reflect on all that's gone into making ChEnected. ChEnected's success is owed to the chemical engineers and other professionals who spent many hours writing, producing, and engaging with great content. ChEnected has most definitely made an international impact. Here are the top ten countries represented by our more than 6,000 visitors: U.S., United Kingdom, Canada, India, Malaysia, Australia, Mexico, Columbia, the Phillipines, and Singapore. With the start of 2011, we're looking forward to adding many more contributors and readers. We would also like to welcome Douglas Clark, a writer and social media enthusiast who will be taking charge of ChEnected's day-to-day operations.
ChEnected 2010 in Pictures
I found a great site called Pummelvision, which creates videos with Flickr or Facebook photos, flashing them before your eyes at lightning speed. So I used it to make a video recapping most everything that represented ChEnected during its first year. It contains photos taken at various conferences where ChEnected was present, including AIChE's Annual and Spring Meetings. It also shows photos from the ChEnected blog.

Thanks for all your work in bringing the nascent site into the chaotic attention deficit internet. PummelVision looks like a great site to chronicle a fabrication/construction project. It also seems to a be a great test for a heretofore unknown predisposition to epileptic seizures!
Robert, thanks for your comment. I know what you're saying about the seizures!
Agreed! Thanks John (and everyone else!) for all the hard work!
Simply fantastic, I was pummeled by the visuals of last years action. My thanks to you, and all contributors for making this happen. I look forward to sequel, Chenected Year II.
I saw some Boil's Laws flying by! : )
Douglas, you have fast eyes, I wish I could produce the work as fast as PummelVision could flash up the pictures. Thanks for taking over the Day-to-Day action, just let us know how we can help you and the Blog continue to thrive.
Douglas, too bad I can't produce them as fast as they flew by..... Thanks for taking over the Day-to-Day operations, just let us know how we can help out to continue the success of the Blog.....
Douglas, please excuse my 2nd reply, I wasn't sure the first reply was actually posted since I could not see the posting listed, then when I sent the 2nd reply the first reply magically appeared on my screen. Well I'm sure you know what I'm talking about? I sense a Boil's laws Skit in this somehow.............
John - thanks for all the excellent work in growing this site. Douglas - thanks for taking on the day-to-day role!
John - thanks for all you've done for making this such an awesome site! Douglas, I look forward to working with you. To all of the YPs -- keep up the great work and posts -- we can't do it without you!!
John - Great job and congratulations on a successful first year with ChEnected. It's an awesome resource for Chemical Engineers!
Thanks so much Teresa and thanks for your great contributions. I hope you will consider more in the future!
Congratulations and thanks to everyone.
