CRISPR/Cas platforms have revolutionized biological engineering and investigations. In this session, we highlight the discovery, engineering, and application of novel CRISPR-based toolkits to modulate gene expression across species, to detect compounds relevant to human health, or to broaden the applicability of CRISPR to new organisms. This session will also include CRISPR-mediated efforts to engineer metabolic pathways, proteins, and other biomolecules.
