Entrepreneurial Mindset and Chemical Engineering (Invited talks)

Chemical engineers identify challenges and solutions relating to food, water, energy, and more. As problem solvers creating solutions from batteries for electric vehicles to new paths for recycling and re-using plastics, chemical engineers create new technologies in a rapidly changing world. Addressing the many facets of a problem and innovating in new directions can be categorized as having an entrepreneurial mindset. Entrepreneurial mindset is defined by Curiosity, Connections, and Creating value. Entrepreneurial mindset applies a complimentary lens to the startup companies, business plans, and angel pitches commonly associated with entrepreneurship. A series of short, invited talks will be followed by a panel discussion centered around opportunities to bring more entrepreneurially-minded activities to AIChE by working with KEEN (Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network).
