Education and Accreditation Committee Chair, Professor Randy Lewis from Brigham Young University, will discuss recent updates and insights regarding ABET accreditation. An important aspect of this presentation involves the new student outcome and curriculum changes that began in the 2019-20 accreditation cycle as well as the virtual visits during the 2020-21 cycle.
Additional topics include: program preparation, the visit schedule, post-visit interactions, common criterion issues during a visit, and accreditation resources. This session is particularly beneficial for faculty members of programs undergoing ABET accreditation during the next several years.
