Creating a Sustainable Lifecycle for Chemical Manufacturing Plants

As the process industries reassess their operations, most process units, trains, and sites that have been or will be idled can still be assets rather than liabilities. They are an opportunity to take part in a new low carbon-intensity circular economy.  In many cases, manufacturing assets are found to be misaligned, resulting in plant closures or write-downs, creating significant financial reserves related to carrying idled assets. Chemical plants that are shut down do not need to be just scrap metal.
