In 60-minutes, you’ll further your understanding of the mechanics of vapor-liquid handling on the tray, how trays are laid out and installed, and how this knowledge helps to avoid common problems and improve plant reliability. The first part of the webinar focuses on tray areas and functions, including the mixing in the active zone, de-entrainment above the tray and de-gassing in the downcomers.
You’ll then concentrate on tray construction and installation. You’ll learn how the mechanical construction of trays must not interfere with process performance and you’ll look at mechanical considerations, including trusses and beams, tray integrity, tolerances, and installation constraints. By the end of the webinar, you’ll have learned to accurately identify the mechanical parameters for specifying, purchasing and installing trays and how to recognize major errors in the design, fabrication and installation of distillation trays.
The second part of the webinar emphasizes tray construction and installation. Trays mechanical considerations must not interfere with process performance. Mechanical considerations include trusses and beams, tray integrity, tolerances, and installation constraints.
Participants will learn critical mechanical parameters for specification, purchasing, and installation of distillation trays.
