Effective communication leadership skills are necessary to lead a voluntary organization. True leadership is interrelated to management skills and applicable in voluntary organization as well as other type of business organizations. The increasing diversity of multicultural, voluntary organization like AIChE creates opportunities and challenges for leaders. There are certain key traits that are fundamentally important for a volunteer leader to have to effectively and positively impact their organization to create a growth oriented sustainable operation. Effective communication skills enable a leader to create trust and team spirit in any organization and in particular in a voluntary organization.
