IDEAL Conversations: Studying and Being an Engineer in the United States as a Member of the Diaspora

IDEAL Conversations are a series of virtual workshops that discuss topics relevant to the IDEAL (inclusion, diversity, equity, anti-racism, and learning) Path, with an emphasis on conversation and audience engagement. We usually pick topics that are often not discussed at meetings at large and are related to the community.

The next IDEAL Conversation will be hosted by MAC titled “Studying and Being an Engineer in the United States as a Member of the Diaspora.” The conversation will center around questions related to:

  • Migration to the United States
  • Choice in studying chemical engineering
  • Opportunities and challenges as an immigrant
  • Things you wish you had known before arriving
  • What can those coming behind learn from your experience
