Many chemical engineering departments are contemplating the need to teach laboratory classes fully or partially online in the fall. This panel discussion will share insights from first hand experiences teaching unit ops labs online during the current summer semester at Iowa State University, the University of Alabama and Georgia Tech. In addition, Laura Ford will share information and ongoing activities resulting from an open working group that has been hosted by AIChE’s Education Division for several months. The group will also discuss approaches for teaching unit ops labs in a “hybrid” in person/online mode.
