Paul is the Sr. Vice President of Biotherapeutics Pharmaceutical Sciences (BTxPS) at Pfizer, a global organization with sites in Andover MA, Research Triangle Park, NC, St. Louis, MO, and Cambridge, UK. BTxPS is responsible for the developmentof the CMC aspects of all of Pfizer’s biotherapeutics, gene therapy and vaccine portfolio, including the manufacture of early clinical supplies
Paul has spent his entire career (24 years) at Pfizer and has been in multiple roles in BTxPS.
He is trained as a Chemical Engineer with degrees from Cornell University (B.S) and the University of Virginia (MS and Ph.D.). Paul sits on several boards including the managing board of the Society of Biological Engineers and the advisory board of the Chemical Engineering Departments at the University of Virginia and at Cornell University. He is the recipient of the 2018 Distinguished Alumni Award from the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Virginia, the 2021 AIChE Industrial Research and Development Award, and was elected into the National Academy of Sciences in 2022.
