Many chemical engineering BS programs require at least one introductory computer programming course and often numerical methods and/or modeling courses or units within the curriculum. Additionally, the push for modern data science training for BS graduates is coming from industry. To continue to prepare chemical engineering students for industrial or academic career paths, instructors may need to modernize the software tools they are teaching in their courses.
This webinar aims to provide instructors with a collection of resources and brief demonstrations on web-based software tools for MATLAB, Python, and version control. The target audience is chemical engineering instructors who are not already familiar with Python for teaching or research. MATLAB familiarity is not required.
