Dr. Cara Touretzky holds a BChE from University of Delaware and PhD in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. During her graduate work she studied dynamic optimization and model-based process control, with applications ranging from HVAC system automation to production scheduling for chemical processes.
Prior to Gurobi she worked as an Application Engineer for ExxonMobil managing nonlinear controller deployments for plastic plants in the gulf coast. Outside of work, Cara can be found teaching classes at the local pottery studio and studying music history.
