Dr. Nordstrom is a Sr. Research Fellow at Boehringer-Ingelheim in Ridgefield, CT working on solid form and isolation development of NCEs. He has been in the pharmaceutical industry for 13 years since earning his Ph.D. from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden, in chemical engineering. He currently leads a group of scientists exploring advancement of new technologies and sciences to address solid state issues in drug development and production. His research interests are in the area of impurity rejection mechanisms in crystallization and impact on solid state properties, thermodynamics of solid forms, and in exploring desolvation pathways of solvates. He is the author and co-author of 40 peer-reviewed publications and patents.
