Harold Conner
Dr. Conner is the recipient of DOE Secretary of Energy and NNSA awards for outstanding facilities accomplishments. He has been named a Fellow in both the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and the American Society for Engineering Management. He is a strong champion of safety and continuous improvement and has achieved exemplary safety records. He is known for worker involvement initiatives as part of the Integrated Safety Management System process and is a champion of the Leadership Challenge philosophy as established by Kouzes and Posner. He serves on the board of the University of Tennessee Nuclear Engineering Department, the University of Tennessee Alumni Board, the University of Tennessee Dean of Engineering Board of Advisors, and the American Museum of Science and Energy Foundation Board. He is the recipient of the prestigious University of Tennessee Alumni Professional Achievement Award for his long service to Industry and the University and the Muddy Boot Award for long service to the Oak Ridge, TN community. Dr. Conner is a registered PE in SC and TN, received Bachelor and Master degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
