I am a fourth-year Doctoral Candidate in the Artie McFerrin Department of Chemical Engineering at Texas A&M University in the Multi-parametric Optimization and Control Group. My research aims at optimizing interconnected multi-scale process systems, such as the food-energy-water nexus (FEWN). More specifically, I am utilizing surrogate modeling and mixed-integer programming to enable informed decision-making for FEWN systems. To do so, I am investigating how the encountered modeling and computational complexity can be bridged for sustainable and efficient solution generation. Besides process systems engineering, I am also specialized in statistics and data analysis. For this purpose, I am developing a framework to quantify equipment availability uncertainty for optimal process design based on sampling, Monte Carlo simulation and optimization strategies.
