Mohammad Hassan

Dr. Mohammad K. Hassan is a Research Assistant Professor at the Center for Advanced Materials (CAM), Qatar University. He received his Ph.D. in Chemistry/Polymer Science from the University of Cincinnati in 2004, and joined the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, University of Southern Mississippi for multiple research positions. He then moved to Qatar University in 2014. His research interests are in the development and characterization of polymer membranes for the desalination and water treatment as well as polymer composites for aerospace applications. He participated in the development of a comprehensive vertically?integrated fuel cell membrane program at USM through support from the US Department of Energy (DOE, program was funded $3 M). His research is currently funded with about $2.5 M from the Qatar National Research Fund. He published one patent and 77 articles and his publications received 1226 citations with an h-index of 21, according to Google Scholar.
