Mostafa Dehghanizadeh

Mostafa is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Chemical Engineering at New Mexico State University. His research focuses on the utilization of different kinds of biomass, designing and conducting experiments in biomass conversion and extraction, and characterization of products from biomass. Specifically, he assists the research efforts for the group for the USDA Sustainable Bioeconomy for Arid Regions (SBAR) project. This includes characterizing residues from the guayule rubber production process: the woody guayule bagasse material for production of biofuels and the guayule resin for use as insect repellents, plastic modifiers, and other value-added applications.
