Paul Baybutt

35+ years of experience as a process safety practitioner. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Manchester in England. Dr Baybutt has authored over 100 articles and conference presentations on PHA, LOPA, risk tolerance criteria, cyber and physical security, human factors, functional safety, artificial intelligence, and other topics. He led the development of CCPS’s first book, Guidelines for Hazard Evaluation Procedures, and contributed to CCPS books on Quantitative Risk Analysis and Human Factors. Dr. Baybutt is the principal designer of Primatech’s PHA software, PHAWorks. He is a Certified PHA and LOPA, Expert and a Certified Process Safety Expert.
