Renato Prestes As Global Lead ESH at Monsanto, Renato Prestes oversaw EHS in 300 locations with 23,000 employees worldwide. Over a ten-year period, Renato: reduced injuries by 80%, reduced fatalities from 6 to 0, and reduced process safety events to 0. Renato also engaged one million community participants through Monsanto's outreach initiatives designed to cultivate community trust. Renato achieved these results by providing a clear strategy, developing talent, and building and empowering high-performance local teams. Renato worked 18 years with Monsanto in both operations and ESH. Before Monsanto, Renato worked for Union Carbide and Johnson & Johnson. Renato has a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and a Master of Science degree in safety engineering from Uniceb University (Brasília, Brazil). Renato is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
