Rohit Pal

Rohit Pal is a 3rd year PhD student in Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry at University of Toronto. Primarily working in the area of photocatalysis, Rohit has expanded the application of engineered photocatalyst in treating coking wastewater and simultaneously using his catalyst for gasification of coking sludge. Through this novel approach Rohit is keen to utilize polycyclic aromatic compounds, a carcinogenic waste in water as a resource to produce hydrogen and syngas.
