AIChE Revises Statement on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion
AIChE has released a new statement on equity, diversity, and inclusion, refining a statement issued in 2020. The document is the result of an Institute-wide discussion that incorporated views from members of AIChE’s operating councils and the Board of Directors. The latest iterations replace a statement issued in 2015.
The statement articulates AIChE’s belief that all who wish to be a part of the chemical engineering community should have equal opportunity to pursue and achieve success. It proposes an “IDEAL” path for progress, in an environment characterized by inclusion, diversity, equity, anti-racism, and learning.
