Sensors Simplify Liquid Analysis
The Memosens 2.0 digital sensors simplify liquid analysis for pH, oxidation-reduction potential (ORP), conductivity, and dissolved oxygen. Noncontact digital data transmission of measured values between the sensor and transmitter eliminates the effects of moisture, corrosion, and salt bridges. Galvanic isolation ensures accurate measurement in the presence of electromagnetic interference and other electrical noise. The sensors store several relevant datapoints, such as operating hours, minimum and maximum temperatures, measured values, calibration histories, and load matrices, enabling comprehensive analyses.

Chlorine Dioxide Analyzer Monitors Free Chlorine
The CD80 chlorine dioxide analyzer uses amperometric chlorine sensors to monitor free chlorine in drinking water, rinse water, cooling water, and other freshwater samples. The standard and low-range sensors are suitable for concentration ranges of 0.05–20 ppm and 0.01–5 ppm, respectively. The analyzer is easy to install, requires minimal maintenance, and offers a long service life. In addition, it complies with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 334.0 for measuring drinking water.

Thermoplastic Flowmeter Is Lightweight
The Signet 2581 FlowtraMag flowmeter is a full-bore, thermoplastic inline magnetic flowmeter suitable for high-accuracy flow measurement in short pipe runs. The polyvinyl chloride (PVC) body and titanium or Hastelloy C electrodes contribute to a lightweight design that is one-half to one-third the weight of traditional metal magmeters. Thermoplastic body construction provides superior corrosion resistance for long, maintenance-free service life. It is available with a choice of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) or fluoroelastomer (KFM) seals. The GF Config Tool Bluetooth app supports iOS and Android for simple user configuration and quick measurement reading. Inline Mixers Prevent Powders from Agglomerating
The inline solids/liquids injection manifold (SLIM) high-shear mixers homogenously disperse powders into liquids. The proprietary design introduces raw material into a liquid phase directly in the high shear zone of a rotor/stator, promoting instant wet-out. This reduces clogging and prevents agglomerates from forming, ensuring high-quality dispersions, suspensions, and emulsions. Close tolerance of the rotor and stator maximizes liquid exposure to high-shear mixing and exerts a secondary pumping effect, eliminating the need for separate homogenization and recirculation pumping for viscosities less than 10,000 cP. In addition, the rotor generates a powerful suction that disperses large quantities of powders directly into the mixing chamber.

The Xtreme Rare Earth+ plate magnet recovers stray metallic particles or objects in chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and other processing applications. The magnet has a higher surface gauss value, holding force, and pull-test strength than the company’s previous models. The magnet also has a smaller footprint than conventional magnets of similar performance. It can be installed in chutes, spouts, ducts, pipes, or suspended over conveyors.

Shortstop Inhibitor Prevents Runaway Polymerization
The Phenothiazine LVT 2330 is a shortstop inhibitor that improves the safety of acrylic monomer transportation and storage. The inhibitor prevents runaway polymerization of acrylic and methacrylic acids, esters, and other monomers in bulk storage facilities, transportation tanks, and containers. A runaway polymerization generates uncontrollable heat that could cause a fire, an explosion, and/or a rupture of closed storage and transport containers. The shortstop inhibitor is safer to handle than common alternatives such as n-methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP). In addition, it has a lower freezing point than NMP-containing solutions, benefiting applications and transportation in colder climates.

Foaming Acid Cleaner Removes Soils
ProClean foaming acid is a high-foaming, concentrated blend of acids and surfactants. It penetrates and removes films, oxide, and other soils from dairy and food processing equipment. It can be applied by manual, foam, or immersion methods. When used in a foam generator, it produces a thick, stable, wet foam that cleans while reducing dry-out or run-off. The foam cleans all ferrous and stainless surfaces, particularly those not easily cleaned by other methods, such as vertical and overhead surfaces. The cleaning material is suitable as an A3 cleaning compound for food and beverage plants.

Fan-Cooled Clutch Brakes Withstand High Temperatures
The Posidyne clutch brakes allow rapid and precise stopping, starting, speed change, and positioning in harsh environments, such as high heat, high cycle rates, and high-inertia loads. Oil shear technology transmits torque through lubricated surfaces to eliminate wear and heat buildup, allowing the brakes to last up to 10 times longer than standard dry friction clutch brakes. Fan-cooling provides 4.5 times the cooling capacity of models without fans. If additional cooling is required, available options include liquid cooling, external cooling packages, and forced-lube cooling. The clutch brakes are suitable for applications where the input shaft rotates at high speed (1,800 rpm or 1,200 rpm), such as indexing conveyors that feed palletizers, rotary tables, batch feeders, and cutoff machines.

Ultrasonic Systems Efficiently Clean Injection Molds
The Branson MCX Series ultrasonic injection mold cleaners feature side-mounted immersible transducers and powerful immersion heaters that clean quickly and efficiently. The system can clean molds in 15–20 min, depending on mold design and level of residue. Manual cleaning of plastics injection molds, on the other hand, may take up to three or more hours. Ultrasonic technology improves cleaning effectiveness and reduces the risk of damage to costly molds. The system emits ultrasonic waves into the solution, creating tiny bubbles (or cavities). These bubbles implode and release tremendous amounts of energy, which causes turbulence that dislodges contaminants from the mold surfaces, particularly in tiny crevices where brushes cannot reach. This cavitation turbulence improves the effectiveness of the cleaning chemicals. The cleaners are pre-configured in three stock tank sizes to accommodate small molds up to 24-in. × 24-in. × 10-in., medium-sized molds up to 38-in. × 38-in. × 14-in., and large molds up to 52-in. × 48-in. × 17-in. The side-mounted immersible transducers deliver cavitation in 25-kHz and 40-kHz frequencies.
