Sahand Rahi

After completing his undergraduate studies at Penn, Sahand studied theoretical statistical physics at MIT. As an Independent Fellow at The Rockefeller University, he transitioned to the intersection of physics and biology. His lab's current work on directed evolution of switchable proteins, including optogenetics, leverages the cell cycle oscillator whose drivers he worked to define as a postdoc.

Vijay Murugesan is a staff scientist in the Physical Sciences Division and group leader for the Materials Sciences group.
