The 2024 AIChE® Gala, "Inspiring the Power of Good," honored companies and their leaders for addressing societal challenges and enhancing human welfare through the safe and responsible application of chemical engineering, while also celebrating the positive societal impact of chemical engineers with the presentation of the Doing a World of Good medal.
The inaugural Lance R. Collins MAC Scholar Award has been awarded to Michael Amaya-Daniel, a senior at The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Honoring outstanding achievement and potential among underrepresented chemical engineering students, the award highlights Michael’s dedication to academic excellence, leadership, and advancing diversity in the profession.
On February 12, the Future of STEM Scholars Initiative (FOSSI) touched down in Tallahassee, Florida to pay a visit to Florida A&M University (FAMU), home to 40 FOSSI scholars.
