Gassonic Observer ultrasonic gas detector

Gas compressor stations face a high risk of fire and explosion due to a combination of intense heat, pressure and vibration, which can produce cracks in seals and flanges. The Gassonic Observer ultrasonic gas detector monitors fugitive gas leaks in compressor stations. The non-concentration-based gas detector responds to the airborne ultrasound generated from gas releases in open, well-ventilated areas.

Hypersil Gold hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography columns

This company’s new line of Hypersil Gold hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC) columns are used for the separation of highly polar compounds, which are notoriously difficult to analyze using standard reversed-phase chromatography. The columns work by incorporating water in the highly organic mobile phase to form an adsorbed water-rich layer on the polar stationary phase surface into which analyte molecules partition. Retention is governed by dipole-dipole interactions and hydrogen bonding mechanisms.

Eurotherm nanodac device

The new Eurotherm nanodac device combines powerful graphical recording with versatile control, communications, and reporting capabilities. It can be used as a standalone device or as a connected component of the company’s InFusion Enterprise Control System. Onscreen help and remote viewing allow plant operators and supervisors to monitor and discuss process operations from virtually anywhere using a smart phone or computer.

TR25OZ oxygen sensor

Oxygen sensors are used in enclosed spaces, vacuum test chambers, liquid nitrogen storage rooms, and other places where pressurized gases could lead to oxygen depletion. Because of their critical function, oxygen sensors are typically removed and manually calibrated by trained staff using a voltage meter in a 100% nitrogen environment —†a costly and error-prone procedure. The TR25OZ is an oxygen sensor that can be calibrated in situ with the press of a button, and with any gas of a known oxygen level.

stainless steel reactor vessel

A new stainless steel reactor vessel and a high-temperature upgrade kit are available to expand the flexibility and capabilities of this company’s Atlas product line. Using the same jacketed vessel clamp, oil drain unit, and fluid pipe connectors as the existing Atlas Potassium system, the standard glass vessel can be easily exchanged for the stainless steel version in under a minute.

Insulated Quick-Clean Centri-Sifter

The Insulated Quick-Clean Centri-Sifter is a high-capacity centrifugal screener whose insulated jacket maintains the temperature of hot or cold materials as they are being sifted while keeping the machine’s exterior skin closer to room temperature to ensure personnel safety. Its three-bearing shaft cantilevers to enable the rapid removal of internal components. The external roller bearings located at the motor end of the shaft and on a sliding cover at the discharge end provide for maximum support and enable vibration-free operation.

Antifrogen SOL HT & Antifrogen GEO

Antifrogen SOL HT is a specially designed heat-transfer fluid that allows solar heating systems with high thermal loads to avoid damage that can come from extreme heat excursions in stagnant zones. Developed in response to the increasing use of vacuum collectors in solar systems (which can have stagnation temperatures of 270°C and above), Antifrogen SOL HT offers protection up to 200°C for operating systems, and protection to 270°C for idle systems.

Cleanaire adsorption media

The Cleanaire adsorption media joins an existing family of gas-phase filters for removing odors and other airborne gaseous contaminants from all types of industrial facilities, laboratories, and healthcare and commercial settings. This product is a granular carbonaceous material made from coconut shells, not coal. Unlike traditional activated carbon media (which often come in the form of smooth, uniform pellets), this coarse, randomly shaped media has a larger surface area, improving adsorption and extending the interval between media changeout.

xenon difluoride

This company has added xenon difluoride (XeF2) to its portfolio of electronic materials. When used as an etching gas, primarily in the micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS) market, XeF2 provides manufacturers with a high selectivity to silicon compared with SiO2 and other materials. The company says it is uniquely positioned to serve the burgeoning XeF2 market due, in part, to its access to a stable, low-cost supply of xenon, resulting from its many large-scale air-separation units and XeCovery xenon-recovery system.

FDA-compliant polyether polyols

Polyurethane offerings for the CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomers) market now include the following FDA-compliant polyether polyols: Pluracol P1010, Pluracol 1044, Pluracol 816, and Pluracol TPE 4542. These products comply with Title 21 of the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) for select indirect food-contact applications, as stated in sections 175105 Adhesives and 177.1680 Urethanes.
