Fausto Gallucci
Since August 2009 I was appointed as a tenure track assistant professor at the Fundamentals of Chemical Reaction Engineering group (UTwente) where I am involved in fundamental study of new reactor concepts such as chemical looping combustion in packed bed, and I am responsible for the master course Multiphase Reaction Technology. All my research activity was devoted to the development of new reactor concepts for process intensification (also condensed in three patents). In particular I was involved in the development of membrane reactors for different reaction systems such as methanol production, ultra-pure hydrogen production, syngas production, dehydrogenation reactions, CO2 capture. Besides the reactor engineering I was also involved in the design and production of new membranes such as membrane with low Pd content for pure hydrogen recovery and new catalytic membranes for dehydrogenation reactions and dry reforming of methane.
