Helen H. Lou is a Professor in the Dan F. Smith Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at Lamar University, Texas. With dual degrees in Chemical Engineering and Computer Science, her areas of expertise include Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Process Systems Engineering. She has been applying these technologies for the sustainable development of the chemical processing industry. Dr. Lou is a Fellow of AIChE. Currently, she serves as the Associate Director-Research, Center for Midstream Management and Science (CMMS) in Lamar University.
