Louisa Nara

Louisa A. Nara, CCEP Louisa is the Technical Director of the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) at AIChE. Louisa’s roles and responsibilities within CCPS include: overseeing the execution of projects in the CCPS technical portfolio; developing and enhancing CCPS’s educational offerings; developing and deploying new tools; and, enhancing value for corporate sponsors. Louisa came to AIChE/CCPS after 15 years with Bayer where she held positions of increasing responsibility including: Manager Process Safety and Crisis Management; Director of HSE, Security and Emergency Response at Bayer’s largest US Manufacturing site; and, Director, Risk Management and Compliance, NAFTA. She has over 30 years of experience in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and food industries and has worked with over 65 companies domestically and internationally. Louisa holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University, an MS in Environmental Engineering from Villanova University and is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).
