Markus Scheller

Dr. Markus E. Scheller has worked for 30 years in several companies e.g. BASF, Ciba-Geigy. He received his PhD in organic chemistry at ETH in Zürich, started as research chemist at Syntex California. In 1987 he moved to Switzerland working for Ciba-Geigy in Process Development. In 1991 he co-led a major project creating a fully automated chemical synthesis production in Switzerland & USA. Then he took responsibilities in US as production head Specialty Additives, Antioxidants. Was nominated as Process Development head NAFTA In 2001 he was appointed to lead the Global Process / Technology department for the Additive division worldwide. In 2008 he transferred as Site Manager of the largest BASF production in Switzerland. Since 2016 he functions as Operations Management Advisor and in 2020 was nominated as board Member of Société Swiss des Explosifs, In June 2021, he was elected as Fellow of AICHE.
