Steve Arendt has 35+ years of experience in process safety and risk management. In 2006, Steve led technical reviews for the BP Baker Panel evaluation of PSM effectiveness, process safety culture, and corporate oversight of BP's five U.S. refineries. Since then, Steve had led 35+ projects evaluating process safety culture for oil and gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, and consumer products companies. Since 1989, Mr. Arendt has worked with several industry groups to develop technical positions dealing with OSHA's process safety management regulation (29 CFR 1910.119) and EPA's risk management program rule (40 CFR Part 68). Mr. Arendt has coauthored: Guidelines for Implementing PSM, 2nd Edition, CCPS, 2016 and Guidelines for Risk Based Process Safety, CCPS, 2007 Steve is the 2006 Merit Award recipient from the Mary Kay O'Connor Process Safety Center and 2007 CCPS Fellow.
