2020 AIChE Annual Meeting Goes Virtual, Nov. 16–20
Featured Lecturers and Highlights Announced
AIChE is creating a new virtual experience for the 2020 Annual Meeting and Annual Student Conference. Originally scheduled to take place in San Francisco, CA, Nov. 15–20, the Annual Meeting will now be available online from Monday, Nov. 16 through Friday, Nov. 20. The associated Annual Student Conference will take place online Nov. 13–16.
The meeting’s full complement of division, forum, and topical conference programming — along with featured events such as major lectures, keynotes, panels, exhibits, poster sessions, and networking activities — are being adapted for online presentation. Meeting organizers anticipate that the virtual meeting platform will open conference participation to a new and global online audience.
Meeting registration is open, and AIChE has reduced registration fees to reflect the new virtual format. AIChE is also relaxing its cancellation policy for previously registered attendees who cannot attend the virtual event.
Among other benefits of the virtual platform, attendees will enjoy the flexibility in being able to revisit recordings of the technical sessions up to one month after the meeting. Full meeting registration will also include permanent access to recordings of select presentations as part of the conference proceedings.
An overview of the Annual Meeting technical program will appear in the October issue of CEP, and is available — along with registration information — online at www.aiche.org/annual.
