These individuals are often passionate, bright-minded, and ready to bring a new way of thinking to the table. As a result, these professionals can leave significant impacts within their field of work, paving the way for future generations to build upon. It is important to recognize such individuals for their exemplary work, which is why the AIChE 35 Under 35 Award was established to honor these trailblazers in the field of chemical engineering.
The first award cycle took place in 2017 and has continued every three years since then. The purpose of this award is to recognize 35 chemical engineering professionals under the age of 35 who have made great contributions to the field, as well as to AIChE. The recipients of this award embody what it means to be a chemical engineer, while representing different early-career paths.
