A. M. (Tony) Downes is an independent consultant specializing in process safety. He recently (semi) retired after 34 years in the process safety field in the petrochemicals and related industries. Denise A. Anaya is an R&D Technologist at The Dow Chemical Company within the Chemical Science organization of Core R&D. With 13 years of experience, Anaya has worked in the areas of materials surface characterization, gas transport, and the design, construction, and operation of reactor systems for heterogeneous catalysis.
