AIChE and Trinseo Partner to Host a Process Safety Workshop in China

AIChE and its subsidiary the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) partnered with Trinseo (NYSE: TSE), a global materials solutions provider and manufacturer of plastics, latex binders and synthetic rubber to host a process safety workshop in China.

On March 9, thirty-two chemical engineering students and three faculty members from Nanjing Tech University attended the workshop at Trinseo’s manufacturing site in Zhangjiagang, China. The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Byron Sun, a safety expert and CCPS staff consultant along with Esther Huang, Trinseo’s Human Resources Director, Asia Pacific. The students gained knowledge about process safety techniques and how to apply these techniques when they enter the workforce.
