Air Products is a long-time ally of AIChE’s LGBTQ+ Community

The AIChE Foundation is proud to highlight Air Products for its contributions to diversity and inclusion initiatives. In 2018, the Allentown, PA-based Air Products became the first corporate donor to the LGBTQ+ & Allies Initiative Endowment. Since then, their support continues to underwrite a slate of activities aimed at advancing the inclusivity of the profession.

Through the LGBTQ+ & Allies Initiative, they have helped to amplify the contributions of LGBTQ+ engineers and allies and are leading the way to obtain equal representation in the profession.

The AIChE Foundation is excited to announce the LGBTQ+ & Allies Fund steering committee underwrote a $10,000 matching gift challenge, Celebrating PRIDE and Allyship in honor of LGBTQ+ History Month. 

Roger Whitley, LGBTQ+ & Allies Fund steering committee member stated, “Air Products is committed to opening the doors of opportunity to all who aspire to be a chemical engineer. I am proud of their sustained commitment as an annual corporate donor and grateful that they continue to offer a matching gift program, which I leveraged to double my impact.”

All gifts made during the challenge (through November 20) will be matched dollar for dollar - up to $10,000. Funds raised from this challenge will augment existing funds to develop online resources, provide trainings, and host networking opportunities.
