Cari Parker, David Miller, and Teni Butler: Doing a World of Good

In this episode of the Doing a World of Good Raj and Kamla Gupta Podcast, host Bob Knorpp speaks with Cari Parker, Vice President of Manufacturing at Eastman Chemical Company, David Miller, Eastman’s Director of Global Operational Excellence, and Teni Butler, a Coatings Technical Service Representative at Eastman and Chair of the East Tennessee’s AIChE local section. 

They discuss Eastman’s successful roll-out of the SAChE® (Safety and Chemical Engineering Education) Curriculum to Eastman’s 2019 summer interns. The SAChE Certificate Program is part of the Undergraduate Process Safety Learning Initiative, a global effort to ensure that every chemical engineering graduate has a working knowledge of process safety. 

This collaborative effort provided interns with hands-on engineering experiences as well as the opportunity to complete AIChE’s online Safety and Chemical Engineering Education Program.
