Celebrate National Estate Planning Awareness Month by Creating a Legacy with AIChE
In 2008, Congress designated October as National Estate Planning Awareness Month, recognizing that more than 120 million Americans lack an up-to-date estate plan. Just one year prior, the AIChE Legacy Society was established by former Trustees, Stan Proctor and Glenn Taylor, to help members, like J.R. Deam, create lasting legacies for the future of chemical engineering.
For J.R. Deam, including AIChE in his estate plans was a meaningful way to honor over 60 years of active membership and dedication to the community. His estate gift supports AIChE’s mission and reflects the profound impact AIChE had on his career, from navigating industry changes to inspiring and mentoring future engineers. As J.R. shared, “AIChE has been so good to me and gave me an opportunity to give back.”
This National Estate Planning Awareness Month, consider how you, like J.R., can create a legacy with AIChE. Thoughtful planning today can strengthen the future of the chemical engineering profession for years to come.
