ChemEs Doing a World of Good – Even When Six Feet Apart
The AIChE Foundation was thrilled to host several networking sessions highlighting ChemEs Doing a World of Good during the 2020 Virtual Spring Meeting and 16th GCPS. More than 100 meeting participants joined throughout the week to network and socialize. Attendees heard from their peers about their involvement supporting AIChE philanthropic programs such as the LGBTQ+ & Allies Initiative, Minority Affairs Committee (MAC) and Women In Chemical Engineering (WIC).
Attendees joined breakout sessions aligned with the five transformative priorities of the Doing a World of Good campaign. The sessions were facilitated by a volunteer leader and grant on the following topics.
- AIChE K-12 Community
- AIChE Volunteer Communities
- Research and Innovation
- Safety & Ethical Practice
- Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
Thank you to Erin Ekart, Gayle Gibson, Eduardo Glandt, Madeline Mueller, Sipho Ndlela, Carlos Prieto, Bill Raiford and Duncan Rose for sharing your time in leading robust conversations that will advance, evolve and transform the chemical engineering profession.
