Legacy Society Donors Invite their Peers to Make a Planned Gift
The AIChE Foundation hosted its ever-generous AIChE Legacy Society donors at a private breakfast during the AIChE 2022 Annual Meeting. Guests shared why they chose to remember AIChE in their estate and how planning today provides an invaluable gift to the next generation of chemical engineers.
Attending the breakfast were AIChE Fellows and Diamond McKetta Lifetime Giving Society members Scott D. Love and Syamal K. and Susmita Poddar.
AIChE was an invaluable part of my career. I decided to give back by donating a portion of my estate to the organization to support the future of the chemical engineering profession. — Scott D. Love
According to Love, “AIChE was an invaluable part of my career. I decided to give back by donating a portion of my estate to the organization to support the future of the chemical engineering profession.”
As follow-up to the launch of a reinvigorated Planned Giving program, the AIChE Foundation plans to host another Legacy Society Breakfast at the 2023 Spring Meeting. We look forward to honoring current Legacy Society donors, as well as invited colleagues interested in learning more about the benefits of including the Foundation in estate asset giving. Invitees may hear directly from Legacy Society members like Syamal and Susmita Poddar.
“Susmita and I are pleased to act as Legacy Society ambassadors in furthering expansion of the Society in 2023. We encourage our peers to learn more about including the Foundation in their estate planning,” said Syamal Poddar.
The AIChE Legacy Society was established in 2007 to honor all those who have taken the special step of including AIChE in their long-term plans through a bequest provision, life-income gift, or other deferred giving arrangement.
The AIChE Legacy Society celebrates and promotes the tradition of generosity and personal commitment to furthering the goals of the profession. If you would like to learn more about ways to include AIChE in your estate plans, please contact Stacey Messina at stacm@aiche.org for a confidential conversation.
