Presidents Unite: The AIChE Presidents' Challenge to Build a Brighter Future
I’m in! Great idea to make it a fun challenge. I’m happy to support anyway I can.” Joseph D. Smith, AIChE President Elect, Laufer Endowed Energy Chair Missouri University of Science and Technology
At the AIChE Foundation, we’ve been thinking creatively about how to fundraise in ways that are not only impactful but also timely and even a bit fun. Whether drawing inspiration from the season or tapping into current events, we’ve been looking for fresh ways to engage our community for a good cause.
That’s why we brainstormed with AIChE’s current president, Alan Nelson, past president Billy Bardin, and incoming president Joseph Smith to bring a unique fundraising effort to life: the Presidents’ Challenge. Inspired by both national elections and our own upcoming AIChE presidential election, the three leaders kicked off the challenge by making personal commitments to support our Doing a World of Good campaign.
Through an eAppeal and peer-to-peer outreach from presidential volunteers, we’re inviting all former AIChE Presidents to match their generosity and join in the fun. As AIChE prepares to name its next president-elect, this is the perfect opportunity for past leaders to leave a lasting legacy while supporting the future of the chemical engineering profession.
We’re excited to see how our current, past, and future presidents are coming together in a collaborative spirit, embracing the challenge, and working with us to build a brighter future for chemical engineers.
To support the Doing a World of Good campaign, you can make your contribution and join our presidents in creating a lasting impact on the future of chemical engineering.
