Celia N. Cruz, Ph.D., is Associate Vice President for synthetic molecule development at Eli Lilly, overseeing late phase chemistry and drug product development and commercialization. Prior to joining Lilly in 2019, Celia was director of the Division of Product Quality Research at the FDA and a member of the Emerging Technology Team. Before joining the FDA in 2010, Celia was a Principal Development Engineer at Merck, where she led the development and commercialization of multiple drug products. Celia has a bachelor’s and doctorate degree in chemical engineering from Brown University and Carnegie Mellon University, respectively.
