Two-Part Epoxy Displays High Acid Resistance

images

The EP21ARHTND-2 two-part epoxy adhesive is designed to be highly chemical-resistant. The adhesive’s chemical resistance was successfully tested in chemicals — such as 98% sulfuric acid, 25% hydrochloric acid, 20% phosphoric acid, and 15% nitric acid — by soaking cured samples for more than 12 months. Additionally, the epoxy is non-drip and resistant to long exposure to high humidity and heat. The adhesive has a high electrical volume resistivity and tensile strength, and it bonds well to metals, ceramics, composites, rubbers, and plastics.

Biobased Lubricant Is Suitable for Demanding Applications

images

The Bio-Food Grade anti-seize compound is a biobased lubricant formulated for sliding surfaces, designed to provide anti-weld protections in high-pressure and high-temperature applications. The lubricant provides protection against rust, oxidation, and wear, and it contains no heavy metals, lead, antimony, zinc, or chlorine. Although its biobased components and food-grade status make it ideal for food and beverage processing applications, this lubricant is also suitable for use in more demanding applications, such as metalworking, industrial transportation, mining, and other industrial applications.

Skid-Mounted Water Treatment System Increases Process Flexibility

As levels of pharmaceuticals and cosmetics in wastewater streams continue to increase, wastewater treatment systems have to adapt by increasing process efficiency and flexibility. The powdered activated carbon (PAC) modular skid system removes residues from wastewater from these industries. The modular and transportable design of this unit increases the adaptability of a wastewater processing system while achieving a high degree of contaminant elimination. The unit uses powdered activated carbon applied in activated sludge (PACAS) technology to meet regulatory requirements for water purity.

Simulation Tool Models Coolant’s Effect on Plastics

Water and coolants can lead to plasticization, chemical degradation, and other negative effects when in contact with heating, sanitary, and automotive hardware; predicting these effects is crucial to product design and development. Now, the THERMOFIP simulation tool models the effects of water and glycol-based coolants on polyamide parts for the part’s entire lifespan. The model can predict the final mechanical properties of common tool materials, including polyamide 66 fiberglass. The software can model static and active components and can take into account local stress effects.
