Gas Chromatography Systems Feature CO2 Reduction Calculations

The seven new instruments for the Brevis Gas Chromatography (GC)-2050 system integrate GC technology with different pretreatment devices and detectors. Examples of these technologies include gas thermal conductivity detectors, high-sensitivity gas injectors, and pyrolysis analysis. The devices are the first of their kind to calculate and display the reduction in CO2 emissions during operation. To further sustainability efforts, each instrument features the ECO idling function, which learns the device usage patterns and applies gas- and power-saving strategies, effectively reducing each by 92% and 61%, respectively, compared to previous models.
