Mike Speer

Mike is the Director of Manufacturing at Oobli, a business at the forefront of the protein sweetener revolution.  At Oobli, Mike focuses on the fermentation and commercial manufacturing of sweet proteins, and also on the commercial production of sweetened products like chocolate and beverages.  Prior to his position at Oobli, Mike worked for Impossible Foods manufacturing Leghemoglobin, for BASF fermenting industrial enzymes, and for Cargill manufacturing organic acids.  He has a BS degree from the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering at UC Davis, and a PhD...Read more

Derek received his B.S. in Bioengineering from the University of California, San Diego. Paul Blainey

Dr. Blainey trained in mathematics, chemistry, biophysics, microfluidics, and genomics before joining the Broad Institute and the Department of Biological Engineering at MIT in 2012. Dr. Blainey’s laboratory develops and integrates microfluidic, molecular, imaging, and computational tools to address new challenges in single-cell analysis, genomic screening, and therapeutics development.Read more

Jung-Un Park

Jung-Un Park is a postdoctoral research associate in the laboratory of Dr. Elizabeth Kellogg at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. He obtained his bachelor’s degree at Seoul National University in South Korea. During his doctoral study in the Kellogg lab at Cornell University, he focused on investigating the molecular mechanisms of DNA-integration by CRISPR-associated transposons. Leveraging this structural understanding, he is now engaged in protein engineering to improve the system’s capability as a genome editing tool.Read more

Tracy Rudisill

Tracy Rudisill is an Advisory Engineer in the Nuclear Materials Management Directorate at the Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) where he has worked since coming to the laboratory in March 1984. In this position, Tracy has performed R&D activities associated with most transuranic element processing activities at the Savannah River Site (SRS).
